A Fond Farewell

The one constant in life, virtual or actual, is change.  Some changes are gradual and barely noticeable, others are abrupt and dramatic.

My friends, today I must bring you one of the latter.

A well-known adage of that digital existence we know as Seccond Life™ is that First Life, sometimes  known as “Real” Life must take precedence.  This has now become personally applicable.  Various circumstances in this tiger’s analog existence necessitate a withdrawal from the digital. (more…)

In which Caladon and I attempt to dance in New Babbage, attend the Fete, party in Edison, view some art and enjoy some minor successes

Robbed at the Ball

Last Saturday Caladon and I attempted to attend the Robber Baron Ball  in New Babbage.  The evening turned out to be something of a disaster, however.   The ball was held on Piermont Landing in the Wheatstone Waterways portion of new Babbage.   I had been there once before to enter my humble attempt at a sundial and while the Landing is certainly a place conducive to such events it does suffer from a temperamental aetheric current.  She preceded me and provided co-ordinates for translocation.  However, upon attempting to do so I ended up in the canal.  Not a pleasant experience for most felines.  When I then flew up to the bridge she was unable to perceive my presence.  Most distressing.  I popped back home and we tried it again.  Somehow in the midst of this she managed to get her picture taken.  Isn’t she grand?

In Which I Plunge Headfirst into either my Ultimate Ruination or Eventual Salvation

The above heliographic projection may be taken to indicate my current frame of mind.  Despite the somewhat melodramatic title of this entry, dear reader,  I find myself in supremely good spirits.  This could mean either that I am blissfully unaware of of my impending doom, or cheerfully accepting of the circumstances.   

Before getting to the reason for this, however,  I first must apologize for the uncharacteristic lapse in the frequency of these missives.  As will soon become quite clear, ever since the Beltane weekend detailed in the previous posting the pace of my Second Life has been such that I have scarcely had time to breathe, let alone spend a few precious moments indulging in this most enjoyable activity of sharing my adventures with you.  I could not go any longer without doing so, however, else all that has transpired might go completely unremarked as it would soon be swept away by the avalanche of future adventures and enterprises.

Those of you who have been following this journal have been witness to many transformations including changes of appearance, station and attitude.  I now share with you two most momentous occurrences which are sure to forever change my Second Life.   The first is of a professional nature, the second personal.
